Travel & a Castle

Today was a lot of travel. We left our hotel in Bayonne and set out for the Avingon/Provence areas. Our first bus ride took about five hours. We made one stop halfway through at a random rest stop. We were there for a bout a half an hour and my closer friends and I got extremely bored... Bored enough to find a random planetarium and "planked the planets". Once on the bus again, our next stop was Carsaconne. Carsaconne is a medical city that is literally an ancient castle. It was very cool to see. We were able to walk around the city and view the old castle. We are at a small cafĂ© and it was a lot of fun. Our waiter was hilarious. My three friends and I must be some "popular Americans" because we have been invited to an Australian boat party and also a party in the castle of Carsaconne, but unfortunately this trip allows no time for that... What a story that would be! I bought a nice bracelet and got the French version of my name engraved into it "Josèphine" .  We didn't stay in Carsaconne long, we left after about 2 hours. Once we loaded the bus again we set off for Orange, the small city in which our reatraunt and hotel are located. Dinner was good, but probably the most American thing possible. Fried/crispy chicken, French fries, and salad. Very good, yet very bad. The hotel does not have wifi so it is very difficult to connect for long periods of time, If at all. Today was a lot of travel, but has brought us to the Mediterranean Sea areas.

  1. You are fortunate that the weather has been so nice! It's been rainy here the last couple days! I look forward to seeing pictures from the Mediterranean!
